Tungsten electrodes WY20

WY-20 (dark blue)

Use: tungsten electrode for welding of especially important structures of carbon, alloy and stainless steels, titanium, copper and their alloys on DC

Mark by ISO: WY-20

Color of electrode edge: dark blue

These electrodes from tungsten alloy with yttrium are the most resistant from nonconsumable electrodes. These electrodes are used for welding of especially important compounds. Welding is carried out at constant current straight polarity, the content of yttrium oxide supplements - 1.8-2.2%. The tungsten electrode containing yttrium improves stability of the cathode spot on the working end of the electrode, and consequently improves the arc stability in a wide range of operating currents.
